Garrison Kennel's Rhodesian Ridgebacks: Hawaii roots, Midwest location
Owner Kris Phifer began raising Rhodesian Ridgebacks in Hawaii in 2008. Garrison Kennels in 2024 relocated and expanded in Monroe Iowa. Kris and his son Braden have hands-on experience raising family friendly, well-socialized and trained Rhodesian Ridgebacks. While in Hawaii, owner Kris Phifer routinely trained for Obedience and Exhibition with Leeward Training Club in Mililani. Owner Kris Phifer currently is exhibiting in Iowa and surrounding states at AKC conformation venues.
Garrison Kennels exclusively breeds only Rhodesian Ridgebacks and is a family owned and operated company, Garrison Kennels feels that all of their puppies are family and are responsible for them throughout their lifespan. All Garrison Kennels puppies are socialized with their prospective owners prior to going home. All Garrison Kennels puppies have a one year limited health guarantee and an unlimited- partial buyback clause should life circumstances cause the owner be unable to care for their lifelong companion. Garrison Kennels offers a lifetime of technical support with their Rhodesian Ridgebacks.
Garrison Kennels seeks to produce the highest quality, conformation tested AKC breed standard Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Soundness of character, health, physique and breed standard are primary considerations when selecting breeding pairs. Canine Only Boarding- Tentatively, Spring 2026 boarding opportunities will be available on site. Amenities, features and rates will be published prior to opening the facility.
